CHARACTER: October 'Toby' Daye
BASIC INFORMATION: Half-human half-fae private investigator/knight errant who is So Done with All The Drama. Has a lot of Baggage from her mother's emotional abuse/neglect that she Will Not Deal With. Was a fish for fourteen years. Recently saw her boyfriend killed and had to take away her estranged daughter's fae blood to save her life in the same day (which is a good part of why she's here, since Toby is REALLY GOOD at running away from her problems). Has a cat-shaped living rosebush. Coffee addict. Also Oberon's granddaughter which she's still processing THAT nugget thanks mom.

CURRENT PLANS: She's prrrobably going to end up kind of adopting Percy Jackson and honestly any other kid/pre-teen without a decent guardian because that's sort of what she does. Other than that, she's open foranything.
WANTED CR: Anything really!

Anyone who knows coffee is basically a food group is good in Toby's book (and she definitely won't be the first one to bring up....any of her Trauma buuut she does sympathize with others who have Been Through Some Stuff easily)

I mean hi we're like two comments in but I am having fun and I think that maybe their combined Definitely Not Dealing With Trauma could turn out really interesting! Plus he would want to hear every. single. story. if he ever finds out she isn't really totally human.

I'm loving it too! And just glimpsing his app in info...yeah, he and Toby definitely have some common Trauma they can ignore together.

It's likely he'll find out pretty quickly since illusions are Exhausting for Toby and once she realizes she's not going to get shackled with iron for it she won't bother most days. And depite her awful mother etc she does have nice stories to tell about the Summerlands and being a knight and all that.

Yeeeah the tl;dr is she was trying to save her liege's wife and daughter who had been kidnapped by his twin brother and he turned her into a koi (annnd left her *on the pavement* and she only survived because a good Samaritan put her in the koi pond nearby). It was Not Good.

She uh. Has water issues because of this.

It's a book series actually! (altho it's been optioned for TV). Book 12 is coming out in September cough.

If I ever have time to get into reading again I'll definitely check it out! There's a library literally like 2 blocks away from my new place so :'D
