Not since birth, no. Their kingdom was hit by a magical plague when she was 13, it didn’t kill her but left her unable to use her voice or magic. Other than that she’s physically fine (emotionally? another story), although now she’ll have to cope with the whole communication barrier until her son from the future figures out she’s in the valley too lol. Back in her world she and her family learned the sign language used by a division of their military (which is technically ASL lol)... although at least in here she’s got texting haha
